Emergency Driver Vehicle Training(EVDT) Course Offered (Formerly EVOC). 

October 13th and 14th.

The Emergency Driver Vehicle Training course provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate an emergency vehicle in emergency and non-emergency mode Topics covered include legal aspects of emergency vehicle operations, navigation and route mapping, driver roles and responsibilities, basic driving skills, and proper driving procedures. The first day of class is conducted in the classroom. The second day of class includes a hands-on practical in which participants will have to drive an emergency vehicle through a competency course. This certification course has been produced by VFIS. Must attend/pass both sections for certification. Space is limited.

Emergency Medical Technician Course (Fall, 2017)

Course Description: The Emergency Medical Technician Course prepares the EMT student to provide pre-hospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety medical conditions and traumatic injuries.  Students successfully competing this course along with meeting the National and Vermont State EMS requirements will qualify to test for their EMT License.   Registration Form

$650.00 per student (includes access to EMS Testing, but does not include text book)

Fairfax Rescue is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit corporation providing pre-hospital Emergency Medical Care and transport at the Advance Life Support Level for the communities we serve. We provide primary coverage for the towns of Fairfax , Fletcher, and Westford. Through various mutual aid agreements we provide backup coverage to the towns of Westford, Cambridge, Essex, Milton, Georgia and St Albans.

Our current staffing includes 20 volunteer members as well as several paid per diem members to provide 24 hour a day, 7 days per week coverage to the community, utilizing two ambulances.

We recently initiated an E911 sign program, allowing people to obtain standardized E911 location signs for their homes. For a cost of $15.00 we will make and install these signs in the towns of Fairfax, Fletcher and Westford. For more information call 849-2773. Signs are available for sale to other communities but we will not install signs outside of the three towns listed above.
